Better Together Community Development Corporation

TERMS OF SERVICE.

Last Updated: October 24, 2026

Dignity. Integrity. Responsible stewardship.

This policy applies to the website and activities administered by Better Together CDC. Hope Hub Inc. and The Church of Atlanta remain responsible for their independently operated services and records.

1. Introduction and scope

These Terms govern use of this website and digital resources operated by Better Together Community Development Corporation ("Better Together CDC," "BTCDC," "we," "us," or "our"), including related inquiries, program information, communications, and any services it independently administers. By using the website, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the applicable service. Program-specific agreements or notices may supplement these Terms.

2. Separate organizations, shared purpose

BTCDC, Hope Hub Inc., and The Church of Atlanta are separate legal entities with their own governance, finances, records, programs, and responsibilities. They may collaborate through referrals, events, partnerships, and community initiatives. BTCDC focuses on community and economic development; Hope Hub focuses on immediate care and crisis response; the church provides faith community and ministry. Shared branding or collaboration does not merge the organizations or create agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or fiduciary relationships beyond those established by law or separate written agreement. No organization assumes another's debts, contracts, liabilities, or program obligations solely because of their affiliation.

3. Lawful use of this website

Use this website lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malware, disrupt security or accessibility, impersonate another person, collect others' information without permission, submit knowingly false or unlawful content, or use our resources for unauthorized commercial exploitation. BTCDC may restrict digital access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or a material violation of these Terms.

4. Community development and program availability

Our mission includes economic mobility and community wealth-building, workforce pathways, housing stability and neighborhood development, systems equity and civic collaboration, and ethical stewardship. Our primary focus is the Tri-Cities area of South Fulton County, Georgia, including College Park, East Point, and Hapeville. Website descriptions express mission and development priorities; they do not represent a guarantee that every listed activity is currently operating or accepting participants. Current offerings depend on program readiness, partnerships, resources, eligibility criteria, location, deadlines, staffing, and other requirements. Contact BTCDC for current information. An inquiry or application does not guarantee admission, assistance, employment, credentials, housing, funding, or a particular outcome. Programs may be modified, suspended, or discontinued as circumstances require.

5. Housing, workforce, and referrals

Housing education, financial education, career navigation, community development information, or a referral does not establish a promise to provide a job, certification, loan, grant, rental payment, housing placement, or other benefit. Any particular service is subject to its applicable written requirements and available capacity. Unless expressly agreed in writing by an authorized representative, BTCDC does not assume responsibility for a participant's rent, mortgage, utilities, debts, contractual commitments, or other financial obligations. Independently operated employers, training providers, housing organizations, and assistance providers remain responsible for their own decisions and services. For immediate community assistance, review Hope Hub's current Get Help resources. This website is not an emergency-response service; call 911 for immediate emergencies.

6. Contributions, sponsorship, and recipient identity

Contact BTCDC for authorized giving or sponsorship opportunities and instructions. Verify the recipient organization, purpose, and any restrictions before contributing. A gift made to Hope Hub or The Church of Atlanta is recorded by that organization and is not automatically a gift to BTCDC. Any fiscal sponsorship or restricted gift arrangement must be identified through an authorized agreement or campaign notice. Gifts are administered according to applicable law, donor restrictions, and any written gift terms. Donation questions, processing errors, or refund requests should be directed to the organization that received the contribution. These Terms do not override rights required by law or a governing gift agreement. We do not provide individualized tax advice or guarantee tax deductibility; consult a qualified tax professional about your circumstances.

7. Text messaging and communication consent

If you affirmatively consent to BTCDC text messages, communications must stay within the scope of that consent. Merely providing a telephone number or making an inquiry, donation, or volunteer request does not authorize recurring promotional or fundraising messages. Those message types require separate affirmative consent. Consent is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving services or participating in programs. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; one confirmation of the opt-out may follow. Reply HELP for help or contact Better@BetterTogetherCDC.org or 470.673.0335. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SMS is not an emergency-response service. BTCDC messaging consent is separate from consent to Hope Hub or church messages. The mobile information and SMS consent restrictions in our Privacy Policy apply and take precedence over general sharing provisions. These Terms do not enroll you in a texting program.

8. Email, inquiries, and submitted information

BTCDC may respond to inquiries and send communications relevant to the interaction, requested service, or preferences you provide. Optional updates may include unsubscribe instructions or may be stopped by contacting us. Administrative, transactional, or service-related messages may continue where reasonably necessary. Information you submit should be accurate to the best of your knowledge and provided with authority to share it. Do not knowingly provide fraudulent, misleading, or unauthorized information. Notify us when a material change affects a request you have made. Information is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable program notices.

9. Sensitive information and confidentiality

We seek to handle program, employment, housing, household, and financial information with appropriate care. Access and authorized referrals are subject to applicable privacy requirements. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial account or payment-card information, or identity documents through ordinary email or text; contact BTCDC to discuss appropriate document handling. A website inquiry, educational activity, referral, or electronic message does not by itself establish attorney-client, clinician-patient, therapist-client, or another legally privileged relationship.

10. Faith-informed, public-serving work

Our Christian faith informs our commitment to dignity, equity, justice, stewardship, and shared prosperity. Community programs and services are offered without regard to religious affiliation. Participation in religious activities is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving community services. Any requested spiritual care remains subject to the practices and responsibilities of the organization providing it.

11. Educational information and professional services

Website resources and general program information are provided for educational and community-support purposes. Unless expressly agreed through an appropriate professional engagement, they are not individualized legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, or other licensed professional advice. Consult qualified professionals when specialized advice is needed. A referral does not guarantee a third party's availability, qualifications, suitability, or outcome.

12. Content, branding, and intellectual property

Original BTCDC website text, graphics, logos, photographs, educational resources, and other materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Unless otherwise stated, you may view, download, or print content for lawful personal, informational, or noncommercial use. Commercial reuse, republication, distribution, or modification of protected material requires permission from the appropriate rights holder. Materials belonging to Hope Hub, The Church of Atlanta, and other third parties remain their property. Use of this site does not grant ownership or a license in organizational names, logos, or trademarks.

13. Independent websites and platforms

Links to affiliates, social media, training providers, registration services, payment processors, and other resources lead to independently operated services. Their own terms and privacy practices apply. BTCDC does not control independent services and is not responsible for their availability, content, accuracy, security, or practices. Review the applicable policies before submitting information or completing a transaction.

14. Events, images, and public participation

Events or gatherings may involve incidental photography or recording. Appropriate permission should be obtained before identifiable images, testimonials, or personal stories are used for promotion, including parental or guardian permission for minors where required. Receiving services or participating does not require agreeing to promotional use of your image or story. Contact BTCDC about withdrawing permission for future uses, recognizing previously distributed materials may not always be recoverable. Public social media content may be visible to others and may be moderated for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, threatening, discriminatory, or disruptive conduct.

15. Website availability and warranties

We seek to keep information useful and digital services accessible, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that all information will always be complete, current, error-free, or suited to a particular situation. Maintenance, technical failures, provider outages, and other circumstances may affect availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and general resources are provided "as is" and "as available." Nothing in this section limits rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Responsibility and limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BTCDC and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, this website or its digital resources. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a service is independently operated by another organization, responsibility remains with that organization, subject to law and applicable agreements. To the extent permitted by law, users agree to indemnify BTCDC for claims arising from their unlawful use of the website, material violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights; this does not transfer liability that cannot lawfully be transferred.

17. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains collection, use, protection, sharing, retention, and choices relating to information handled by BTCDC. Additional privacy notices or authorizations may apply to particular programs. Affiliation does not automatically authorize exchange of program files, mailing lists, donor records, or communication consent.

18. Governing law, changes, and severability

These Terms are governed by Georgia law, subject to applicable jurisdictional and other legal requirements. BTCDC may revise these Terms as its website, programs, technology, or responsibilities change. Updates take effect when posted unless another date is stated; required notices or consent remain subject to applicable law. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays effective to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive that provision or another right.
